My name is Steven James, and I am a Music and Language Instructor specializing in Piano/Vocal Training and the English/Indonesian Languages. My desire and goal is to assist Children and Adults, especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Aspergers Syndrome, by way of Music. I have worked with the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, CA Mark Taper-Johnny Mercer Artists Program, "The Miracle Project” a Music, Arts, and Drama Program of Hollywood, CA, and I Created and Started a Musical Program for the Autism Society of Inland Empire, CA, and EEK & Friends of Temecula, CA. I have also worked for the Alhambra Unified School District, and I currently work for the Alta Loma Unified School District.
My techniques are unique, because I incorporate Methods used to teach languages by some of the worldʼs leading Doctors and Professors in Neuroscience and Linguistics, because “Music is like a Foreign Language”. For those who are self-motivated, disciplined, and hard working, I instruct them with an Olympic Style Training Pace. My classes are at times in a Private or group setting and can be made up of different children, with different abilities, who all learn at their own pace.
